The Budget announcement Monday, 29th October supposedly signalled an ‘end to austerity’ as Chancellor Philip Hammond revealed a number of pro-taxpayer measures, including an increase in the personal allowance and higher rate thresholds to come into effect in April 2019.

However, what the entire contractor industry has feared will come to fruition: IR35 reform in the private sector. The government has yet to publish any lengthy guidance about the change in off-payroll rules in the private sector, but stay tuned for future literature and blogs from us.
